RE: New or used?

They don't make new "vintage" trailers so it looks like we'd buy used again.:W:B We go to the big RV shows every year and we have only seen one new RV that impressed us and we can't afford it.:(

RE: Differential gear ratios

If you still can't run in overdrive after going to a 4.10, you wasted your money, and you're going to waste a lot more down the road in higher fuel bills and wear and tear on the engine. It seems to me that almost every post I have read in these forums the owners actually saw an increase in gas mileage after changing to the lower gear while towing and when not. Our truck with the 4.10s gets better mileage towing than the one with 3.54s. Most trucks are designed to get the best gas mileage empty and not loaded, lugging an engine loaded can decrease mileage and engine life.

RE: How many miles on your sparkplugs?

Yes I do understand "recommended maint schedule" and like Dogde Guy said it is at the end o the spectrum. I have changed 1000s of spsrk plugs and have found that the owners who stay ahead of the schedule vehicles end up running longer and have smaller repair bills. Worn plugs eat ignition coils and plug wires (if not direct igintion) and I have seem way too many plugs with 100,000 miles on them in aluminum heads bring the threads out with them when finally removed. Worn ignition coils can overload the current limiting in the ignition modules and shorten their life to. Like always, it's your choice.

RE: Differential gear ratios

I have two 3/4 ton pickups, one with 3.54s and one with 4.10s. I live at 4200 ft and and sedom if ever camp any lower so everything is up hill from here. I much prefer the 4.10s for towing.

RE: How many miles on your sparkplugs?

I have about 8000 miles on mine and will change them in another 2000 miles. I think I might replace the points, condenser, distributor rotor and fuel filter while I'm at it.:W:B

RE: Still Speechless.................Update today

Okay, I guess if they knew the rules of the HOA and they didn't like them they should not live there. But, this HOA lets you park a Honda Ridgeline in your driveway but not a Ford F-150??? That's the part that doesn't make sense. I could understand it if this was in San Francisco, but in Texas you can park a Honda in your driveway but not a Ford? That just doesn't sound like Texas to me. Specially seeing that the F-150 is bigger.:W:B

RE: Still Speechless.................Update today

We don't allow "lower end" trucks in our neighborhood either. I don't understand what all the ruckus is over; I'm sure the owner could have "stepped up" and bought the upper end truck just like his neighbors did. Doesn't he want to "fit in" like everyone else? :W:B
